Day 1
The Green Valley Inn in Cayo
Individual arrival (on request we can pick you up wherever you want); over night stay at The Green Valley Inn in Cayo.
Day 2
Actun Tunichil Muknal
Today we visit and explore the secret Maya ceremonial place “Actun Tunichil Muknal”. Hidden in the jungle is ATM certainly one of the main attractions, if not THE VERY attraction in the west of Belize.
We swim into the entrance of the cave system. After about 1 mile river walk and climbs over rock formations we arrive in the main hall. Centuries old handicrafts, skulls and skeletons convey impressions of old Maya ceremonial practices.
Day 3
Tikal Maya ruins and National Park
Tikal speaks for itself. What should I add? Tikal is the only place in the world that has been declared as natural AND cultural world heritage.
We leave Belize in the early morning, cross the border Belize to Guatemala and continue for about 2 hours toward the national park. The ruins are within a 225 square km area and include 5 main temples. 3 of them are accessible.
